4th of July

Happy Birthday America!

This year for the 4th we went the ward pancake breakfast, went out to lunch, and then went to the base to watch the firework show. I have always really liked the fireworks at the base, this year McKenzie got us some sweet VIP tickets so we had the best view! It was so fun and we could actually hear the music. Henry loved the fireworks and could not take his eyes off of them. We were the lucky ones to get there early to save seats.

Henry's Blessing

Henry was blessed on July 1, 2012

George gave a beautiful blessing. We are so thankful for all the people in Henry's life that love him and support our little family. We can only hope for the best for Henry in the future we love him and want him to be the best he can be. I am a major failure at taking pictures I had hopes of many many more pictures but alas at least we got our first family picture. I don't even think we got one of all 3 of us at the hospital when Hen was born! (I KNOW I KNOW!)

3 Months

Henry is 3 months old!

- rolls over from tummy to back... some times

May Happenings

May was a month of first for Henry. We did lots of fun stuff! I did not want our blog to turn into a blog only about Henry but that is really all we have going on these days... he just has so much more fun stuff happening in his life.

First we went to California for the first time. I was very very nervous about the drive. But Henry is an angel baby as always and he really only cried for like 30 minutes at the end of the drive and he was over it. Other then that he slept the whole time. While in California i was feeling very brave and we decided to go the Disneyland... and once again Henry was and ANGEL baby i was so worried about him having a blow out, or wanting to nurse or really anything I have never packed the diaper bag so full of things that he "might" need, and in true Henry fashion he surprised us all and slept the WHOLE time. I don't even think he opened his eyes long enough know that we weren't at home any more. We also went on walk in Seal Beach up and down the pier it was so pretty we have not been to the beach in a long long time so it was fun to go and watch the waves.

Once back in Phoenix we went for our first swim... it is already so so so hot here, we are pretty much stuck inside all day every day. It is forecasted to be 115 tomorrow... GROSS!

Henry experienced his very first solar eclipse. George set up the contraption so that me and Henry could sit in bed and watch the eclipse on the ceiling it was cool.

Henry woke up one Saturday morning while a swollen eye... it was weird but did not go away so we went to urgent care and they gave us some stuff and it was all cleared up by Monday.

Henry has really started to show his personality and he knows who we are and is turning into the smiley little guy. He has also started to coo and talk to me.

 He turned 2 months and got his first shots! HOLY CRAP they use such a big needle! I swear it touched his leg bone. I couldn't watch but he did great. And mostly just lounged and slept that day and the next. His most recent stats are 11 lbs 14 oz 23 in longs he is in the 50% tile for both so he is perfectly in the middle.

And in other news we are moving! I'm so excited! We are moving in with my parents in July, it is just tooo freakin hot here!

April -the recap

With a a new born I have learned that not everything goes as smoothly or as easily as it once did, I have to plan out every part of my day and even then it doesn't usually go as planned.  With that said I have been meaning to do this post for 2 weeks now.

Henry is amazing! He is the cutest little guy out there... he is a great baby. At one month he is starting to smile... but really only at me, he really only likes me, he can hold his head up, and is always surprising me with how good he is. Current nicknames include: Henners, Baby, My Baby, and Henryetta (all said in an extremely high pitched baby voice)

His hair is ALWAYs out of control... but it is really fluffy after a bath. Poor kid.

Henry's first Easter was pretty chill... as you can tell he loved his basket and was really excited about the shorts and the chocolate eggs.

And we made him wear this hat...

Other happenings in April include:

- 4 years of Marriage! Love your Georgeie 

- And that's about it, Henry is now 6 weeks out so we are out and about more.... more fun things to come!

Bathtime!

Henry's little belly bottom came off and we were so excited to give him a real bath... I was a little nervous he would hate it... but it turns out he LOVED it! He did not move at first but then he got more comfortable and was lovin it! As you can see from his face he was a little confused at first.
