Christmas 2010!

This year for Christmas we went to my parents house and had a wonderful time! We each got everything we ever wanted and then some. On Christmas eve we did the traditional calm chowder for dinner and then we kinda hung out and then we went to Naples to look at the lights.
And then on Christmas Day we opened gifts in the morning and then we hung out for the day. After everyone had there Christmas Day naps and after our delicious lunch we went to Disneyland to renew our passes and see World of Color (the new water show at California Adventure... which is amazing by the way). So we go get our fast pass to see world of color and go and stand in line for Toy Story Mania (my new favorite ride) and by the time we are out of the ride (like a hour later) it is POURING, and World of Color was having technical difficulties and was not working. We were just like ok lets go home, no big deal, but nooo Mom wanted to go look at the decor in Disneyland. So we went over to Disney and rode the train around the park, and we got off to ride the Monorail back to Down Town Disney (were we parked) it was hardcore raining at this point. BUT the highlight of the night was we got to ride in the very front of the monorail... it was pretty fantastic!
See look at how wet we were! Over all it was a great time with family!
(yes i know the last like 6 posts have been something 2010! don't judge)

Ginger Bread House 2010!

Since being married every year for Christmas (so like 3 years) I have made a ginger bread house. I'm not going to lie. I love this little tradition I have started and I hope that my children will love it too! Last year and the year before that i spend a least 2 hours on it... this year... i was lazy... maybe 30 mins, its not my best work. Don't judge.

Mesa Temple Lights 2010!

For a fun little date night a week ago the Husband and I went to BJ's pizza... one of my most favorite places to eat of all time, and then we went to the Mesa Temple to see the nights... we were surprised and how many LIGHTS they put up. It was crazy! They put LA to shame. It was so pretty. And one of the best parts of this trip to see the temple lights was NO SNOW! Here are some fun pictures of the night!

Thanksgiving 2010!

This year for Thanksgiving George and I were both working very hard, because we have sold our souls to retail this holiday season we decided to celebrate our Thanksgiving on the Saturday after. It was very low key, but skill a fun time. We had turkey, potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, salad, gravy, and pie... and rolls it was yummy! That was the first time I ever cooked each part of the dinner, it was DELICIOUS!

Today as I was eating lunch just minding my business I looked up to see my ceiling fan was off...
the first time since we have moved here... and then i saw it!!!
Do you See it??? Here is a closer look...
Yes people... that is a layer of nasty nasty dust! Seriously gross! But don't worry I cleaned it ASAP! One positive thing the fan was off at 1:30 in the afternoon... that's pretty exciting!

George's Day Off...

George is a very hard working man. He is the only source of income and he is really good at it! Wednesdays and Sundays are George's days off. This is the first time in our dating and married life, so almost 5 years, that he has had every Sunday off... its very nice. So on Wednesday we try to do fun things. Wednesday September 22. 2010 started out with cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast followed by video games. And while George played video games i did this...
And then he went down to try to fix my car (i can no longer roll my window down... its really really annoying when you have to get into the gate at our apartment complex.) no success. And then we went to lunch....
at Chick-fil-a... We like it there.

After lunch we (and by we i mean Stephanie) thought it would be fun to go the Mesa temple to just check out and see where it is and just enjoy the temple grounds. Considering it was a pretty nice day only 96ish, it wasn't to bad to walk around. The Mesa Temple is old! and Square. An old piece of wood turned into a rock... petrified. The trunks of the trees were painted white.... George thinks its to prevent bugs... but i think it looks stupid. There is also a cool cactus grove... I thought it might be fun to push George into it... he did not like that idea very much :)

After the temple we took the "scenic" way home and saw this cool horse...
And the cherry on top for George's day off... a Yankee game... yes people i said it. He was one happy boy.
here is to my hard working husband... i love him. The end.

One Month

One month is AZ... top things i have learned.
1. The bugs are gross... yesterday i saw the biggest flying thing i have ever seen.
2. Unemployment leads to days laying in the sun at the pool in my new favorite thing.3. AC is one the greatest things ever invented.
4. A 6 hour drive home is way way better then a 14 hour one.
5. Don't drink the tap water... its gross.
6. Its impossible to get cold water from the tap (or at least i havent figured it out yet, im guessing its to hot.)
7. The shopping will be amazing when i get a job and can actually go shopping and enjoy it.
8. Our ward has 3 nursery's (CRAZY!)
9. We should have moved to the 3rd floor a long time ago.
10. I have really missed good Mexican food, i cant get enough of it.

We are loving it! Seriously need a job so once that happens we will really really love it here. Come visit (when it cools down)!

Rexburg to Gilbert

So we moved the day after George graduated. It was SLLLLOOOOWWW a trailer really slows things down... 65 mph! COME ON! It was the worst through the 80 mph test areas! Seriously NEVER want to do that again. hopefully the next time we move someone will pay for it other then us. Anyways here are some pictures to document the fun!We said goodbye to Gma and Gpa early Saturday morning... (look how cute grandma looks in that picture i just love her)
This is our lovely trailerRyan came up to Idaho to help us move and he drove my car to AZ he most likely had the least amount of fun on the drive down, he was all by him self and he was behind our trailer most of the time. Poor kid, but we were very grateful for his help.
George drove the whole time! because i was NOT going to drive. and he did great... he even smiled a little.
This was my view.... pretty boring!
That giant crack in the ground is the Grand Canyon... pretty cool.

The End we made it and so far it was has been pretty good.

5 Reasons

As we prepare to move away from Rexburg its kind of a better sweet thing, I'm really excited to leave and move with our lives but I cant help but to think of the things that I will miss.

#5- Campus. BYU-Idaho has been my home away from home for the last 5 years, yes i graduated and havent really been on campus very much in the last year, I know i will think of it often.#4- The Bubble.
#3-Island Park/ Yellowstone. Living about an hour from some of the most beautiful places in the world will be missed!#2- Rexburg Temple. Living within walking distance from temple it doesn't get any better then that.#1- Grandma and Grandpa. (and all of our other family members that live here) I have loved being so close to them, i feel like i will always be grateful for the friendship that i now have with my Grandparents, I will miss them terribly, But they give us a great reason to come back up to Rexburg when ever we want to. And I am grateful for that. (and i dont have one picture of them... i will have to remember that when we stay with them this weekend.)

heaven in a cup

The best part of Rexburg in the summer is a extra small Margareta flavored snow cone. I will miss this little piece of heaven when we move in 2 weeks!
and in case you missed it... that's right 2 weeks, 14 days! HOLY CRAP! I'm excited!

And Say good bye to the van... it was good to us and i think George was really sad to see it go... but it was time... we will miss it! (Kinda... but not really)

Hey EVERYONE!

George started his last semester of College today... (well technically he doesn't start until Thursday because he only has Thursday and Friday classes... but the semester officially started today... so it like the same thing). And let me tell you IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME! i couldn't be more excited.

But with the end of school, means that we have to start our real lives... so if any one has any connections for a sweet job... please let us know. We are willing to go anywhere...

I'm very proud of my Georgie, and i cant wait to get out of Rexburg!

Vegas get-a-way

We went on a mini vacation to CA and to Las Vegas last week. And it was amazing... i think my favorite part was that it was 80 degrees! and of course we came back to a weird rain/snow storm. And here is our trip in pictures... enjoyWe went to Disneyland... and it was HOT so we rode the Grizzly River run... and got all wet. but it felt good.
The next day we just kinda hung out and went shopping for some interview clothes for George... and Bailey got stuck in between the cushions on the couch... HAHA silly puppy
And then we drove to Las Vegas to tour a possible future employment opportunity and we stayed here:IT was BEAUTIFUL! its in the new City Center just off the strip, i loved it. and i would tell anyone who is going to Vegas to stay at the City Center... loved it!
From Vdara there is a walk way that leads right into the Belliago so we got to see this everyday...
We Taste tested Coke products from around the world... I'll stick with my Diet Coke... We took Silly Pictures...We rode the Gondolas in the Venetian... George loved it, look at the face... he was in heaven... he loves me even when i make him do stuff like that.... What a guy.
I learned that when you make some money you should cash out and not be stupid and keep gambling... this is me... loosing our money... the church is true... gambling is bad.

And that's our trip. It was so much fun! We went with the Jackson's... and of course did not get one picture of the 4 of us... but we couldn't have asked for a better couple to go with. GOOOD times.

And on a random note... i blogged about my sunglasses as being my favorite thing and then on the way to CA they broke... i almost cried. :(
