Thanksgiving 2009
I made a turkey for thanksgiving... this was the first time i have ever cooked a turkey and i was very happy with the way it turned out... we used Papa George's brine and it was delicious
Here is the after picture... i forgot to take a picture before we cut it. It was very pretty.
We spent Thanksgiving this year with my Grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle in Rexburg, it would have been fun to be with our imdeate family but George works at Wal Mart and Black Friday is the devil so anyways, we had a great time and i am looking forward to making a turkey every thanksgiving!

Utah!
For a little get away George and I drove down to Utah to see some friends and go to a foot ball game (i feel sad saying that a get away means going to Provo *sigh*). It was great fun! it's always a blast to see Josh and Rosie and you can never go wrong with a BYU football game.
We originally had these seats, which would have been great, but we have AMAZING friends and we moved to these seats...
Front row 25 yard line right behind the team! it was so fun to be down there and see the reactions of the team and hear them talking to each other, and to be almost hit in the face by the giant BYU flags that they run around with after they score! It was great!
I cant say Thank you enough to Josh and Rosie they are our favorite utah friends and they always open there house for us when we need a place to crash! Seriously Thank you!
I will admit that it was cold... i could not feel my toes by the end of the game. (But still it was way warmer then Rexburg by like 20 degrees, why do i live here????????)
They won!! and it didnt snow like they said it was going too so over all it was a great game!
The next day after the game we got together with my friend from back home Jon, it was great to see him and his wife and there cute little house they just built. We thought it would be fun to go to the newly opened In-n-out that just opened that weekend! I'm not going to lie I felt a bit like a trader going to an In-n-out in Utah, it was werid but then i took a bite of my burger and a sip of the my milk shake and i was grateful. I did not get a picture of Jon and Annelise. But i did get a picture of this...

So over it

Dear Baseball,
Why must you control my husbands life from April to November??
Why must the games lasts hours on end, and why is it that as soon as baseball season is over basketball and football start up??
Will I ever have a time in my life when espn is not always on??
More specifically why must the Yankees have 162(!) regular season games (that does not even count the post season)???
And why are his moods depended on a Yankee win or lose?
If there is anything that you can do it make my life better it would be greatly appreciated.

GNO and Cold
Last night while the boys were at the Priesthood session Becky and I went on a little GNO (girl's night out) to Porter's (Rexburg's finest craft store) and it has lite a fire under my bum and has inspired me to be crafty. So as a warning to everyone that i would normally give a gift to for Christmas, this year its hand made by me! So dont expect to much :)
And it other news... since i have not blogged in forever, there really hasnt been much going on. I have started working full time which is great, I'm loving the job so far. Rexburg is starting to get cold and yucky and be the most aweful place to live in the world. This is the last winter we will have here, because next winter we will be out in the real world, so i guess i can get through this winter!

It's weird
I'm not going to lie... I'm having really mixed feelings about not going to school for the first time in 17 years... it's very odd.
And on a completely random note...Here is a picture of me shooting a gun for the first time... i actually think it was the first time i have ever even held a gun... please no comments on the outfit :)

(if you're looking at these pictures and thinking... hmm that guns not loaded... that's cause it wasn't... this is a stage picture. BUT i promise i did shoot it when it was loaded! i promise.)

Best Gift ever!!
My wonderful in laws gave me the nicest gift i have ever had for my birthday which was in February, a gift card to Sage Day Spa... i was sooo excited to go get a massage or a pedicure or something fantastic. But we were planning on moving into a new apartment and so i put it off thinking i would really want to pamper myself after we moved... and then we decided to go to CA for Ryan's mission stuff and i knew that was the prefect time to go get a pedicure so my toes would be all cute. So i called and made an appointment for the next day. I WAS sooooo looking forward to a wonderful hour at the spa. The next morning i wake up and my get ready to go and i notice that i have a message on my phone and it was Sage... they had a "small" fire and didnt know when they would be open again. I was BUMMED!!!
So i kept checking the web site hoping for updates, they said they were hoping to re open in the middle of July and that came and went and then i checked one more time for good messure and low and behold they were reopening!! August 20!! So Becky made an appointment for us to have a girly afternoon, and it was amazing! I told George that i would love more money there, they really did pamper us, it was waayyy better then in pedicure i have ever had to before! and they have new Chairs and they were amazing! and i could go on and on forever.
So too my New York Family, THANK YOU! i had an amazing time and im soooooo glad i finally used the gift card. i loved every minute of it!
Check out my cute toes.

New YORK!
We just got back from the most amazing vacation, it is always such a joy to go to New York and see the family and this time was great because we were just there to be there, it wasnt a holiday or a wedding or anything just good times. We did a lot of stuff this time that we have never done before too.
We went to the Renaissance Fair... which was fun, and interesting. it was fun to go and see all the people all dressed up, see the jousting, and the other shows and to look at all the fun things that people made that could only be sold at a renaissance fair.
We blessed a baby.
Had a birthday surprise party.
We went to the Body World exhibit in Buffalo... Buffalo is pretty gross but body world was pretty sweet. But we were not allowed to take pictures. (so i found this picture on line, this one was not even at the show we went to, but its still cool)

After Body Worlds we drove about 30 mins to Niagara Falls. Which is AMAZING! It really did blow my mind. It would have been cool to go to the Canada side and really see it but i dont have a pass port so next time we will be there.
And after that we mostly just kinda hung out the the family! Which is so nice to do because we only see our east cost family once a year or so and it is fun to just hang out and play. We had a great week and cant wait to go back. Love you guys! Thanks for a fantastic week.

Weekend on the water
This weekend after graduation we went out on a boat all day. It was kinda yucky and rainy and then it the sun came out and we had a good time.

We went up to Palisades, which was beauitiful. We had never been there before so it was fun.
After boating we went up to Island park to hang out with dad's family at Grandpa's cabin, which i have not been to since he died which was a very long time ago, so it was fun. We played on a jet ski, and played on the dock. We slept in a tent.
On Sunday we went for a little road trip, we went up to Big Springs.

And Then we went to Mesa Falls.
It was a fantastic time in Island Park.

annd we're back!
Yes that is right we are back from our wonderful weekend in California... it was a crazy weekend that went by wayyyyy tttoooo fast. It was very bitter sweet, it was awesome to be home but it was sad to say good bye to Ryan... but we made the best of it and had some really good times. We went to the LA temple which was amazing too, because i have never been there before... and as a fun fact about the LA temple it can hold 300 people in one session!! that is crazy... yes i counted... dont judge me.
So that was Friday night (We really didnt do anything on Thursday... George went golfing... i went with Jen to lunch)
Saturday we worked the ACT test for my mother... and then we went home and watch Andrew open his mission call (which he had for like 4 days before opening) it was very exciting he is going to Nebraska... and after that we just kinda messed around played in the hot tub and enjoyed being home.
And then there was Sunday... we went to church EARLy so that we could get a seat to hear my baby brother talk.. he did a great job. I on the other hand had a hard time keeping it together... but its not about me he did a great job. After his talk we went home and prepared for the open house we were having.
And then Monday came... We went to the Beach with Jen. It is sooo relaxing to just lay on the sand, i did put my toes in the water but ocean water is gross so i did not get in.
and then it was Tuesday... George played one more round of golf and we went home and after a few shed tears we are back in Rexburg.

Memorial day weekend
This weekend was great! It started out with a trip to the zoo in Idaho Falls (a first time for me). Its just this little zoo that takes like 2 hours to get through and it was only $5! We saw all kinds of animals, I forgot the camera so i had to use my phone so these pictures are not the greatest. My favorite was the black swan, he would run around and bite the Emus bums. haha it was pretty funny, I do not have a picture of him though so just close your eyes and picture it. :)

This is the poor guy that kept getting bitten.

So that was Saturday. And on Sunday we just chilled and went to church and all that good stuff and then Monday we had all of our closets friends over for a BBQ and lawn games. We had so much food and good times. We learned a new fun way to play croquet called Poison (thanks Amy and Brad for the fun game!)
Team Wyatt won the second game. We are just that amazing!
