Mega Post 2011

CHRISTMAS 2011
Christmas this year was great. We decided to really party hard and take the whole week off and get out of AZ for a while. We ran errands on Christmas Eve and had a delicious dinner, and just kinda hung out. Christmas day, my Mom made us wait until after church (WHAT!!!??? lame) to open gifts, so we went to church and then came home and opened all the gifts. Hung out and ate all day. The day after Christmas we went as a family down to San Diego to explore and mess around. George has never really been there and I haven't been down there in the last 5 years. So it was FUN.
We went to the Mormon Battalion and we found GOLD!

The next day we went to Disneyland to re-new our passes, it was the craziest I have ever seen it! There were so many people. They had stopped letting people into the park it was so full. Good thing that was not our once a year trip because I would have been so mad at the amount of people in the park. It was PURE madness! We were only there for a few hours and here is my favorite picture of the night...
(haha love you dad!)

NEW YEARS 2012
Wednesday we made plans with my Mom and Dad to come back to Gilbert to check out some houses and just see where we live. So we pull into Gilbert at about 1:30 am Thursday morning. We are woken up by my Mom at about 4 am and she says that we need to go to the hospital, Dad is having some weird pains in his chest and "its just not right." So we roll out of bed, run every red light and take him to the emergency room. Turns out my Dad was having a heart attack (say WHAT?)! He was rushed to an other hospital via ambulance (they had the lights on and everything) and went right into the operating room. They ran a stent up his leg, into his heart and unblocked the artery. He was out of surgery and in recovery by 7:30 am.... it all went crazy fast. So that extended my parents stay in Gilbert. He had to stay at the hospital until Saturday afternoon and then one night here in the area before he was able to travel back to CA. So that means that the whole family came to Gilbert for New Years (we had left our car in CA, and most of our junk, as we were originally planning on being back in CA on Thursday). My brothers and SIL came with our car and stuff on Friday. We went and checked out downtown Phx and ASU. New Years eve was spent in a hotel room while my dad was sleeping and we watched TV, it was pretty chill. We are hoping to keep everyone out of the hospital in 2012 (not counting when I have the baby).

It was a great and scary holiday season and we are looking forward to next year.

Speaking of next year, March is coming up and we are freaking out! We had an appointment yesterday and my baby is measuring about a week ahead of schedule at about 2.11 lbs. We had an ultrasound and they surprised us with some 3-D pictures. I am in LOVE with his checks! I just want to kiss them! They are kinda blurry because he was all squished, and the tech tried to clean them up but this is the best we got. I have to go back for another ultrasound in 2 weeks because they did not get a good picture of the spine and his hands... so maybe we will get a less blurry one.

What's Kickin'

18 weeks

feelin' good.
Thanks Jackson's for the sweet handcrafted shirt. I love it.

crazy cakes

For Stephanie's work Halloween party she made some pretty sweet cakes. She didn't win...mostly because someone else was telling people not to vote for her cakes because she wasn't there...but that's another story. I guess she found some cakes on the internet and she thought she could make them...and I must say they turned out pretty darn good. So here they are...I think she should have won.

pretty good huh?

Ted's Hot Dogs

While at work one day, some guy found out that George is from New York... that guy continued to tell George about this hot dog place that started in New York and it is so good and they have these hot dogs called "White Hots." At this point George is floored and rubbing his nose in excitement! "I LOVE WHITE HOTS!" Exclaims George. George has is phone out and is finding the AZ location... and lo and behold it is right around the corner from my baby doctor.... ggggreeeatt.

So after my last doctors appointment we were there! It was kinda fun. They even have local New York newspapers to read and every up state New York College is represented.... George was in white hot heaven!

And now we have a tradition... after the baby appointments we will have Ted's... the french fries were good.

And in Baby news.... all is well! I feel great, I have moments of back pain and when I sneeze I want to kill myself for 2.5 seconds (all of which the Doc is not worried about). I am 18 weeks today! The appointment is set for my next ultra sound where we will find out the gender (George still claims that he only "makes boys" but we will see). And it is all still very unreal... When I am being still in bed or just sitting at work doing nothing I can feel that little babe... so fuN! We are on the look out for a new place to live, 3rd floor, one bedroom, just isn't going to work, and as always trying to improve George's employment. Life is good!

13 weeks

At 13 weeks, I feel great! I have very little sickness... I eat ALLLLL the time. And my back hurts but other then that I have had it pretty easy. The only thing I can complain about is whether or not I'm fat or its the baby... I like to think its a combo of both of those factors.

Sucking in... hence the I cant breath face...

Letting it all hang out....

Next MAJOR thing that needs to happen... George seriously needs a better job. I would REALLY REALLY like to stay home with my baby... so any leads in any part of the country sound good to us.
